Top Three Essential Oils and Hair Loss Solutions

You have heard a lot about essential oils and hair loss. For years now, you have been trying to desperately grow your tresses, but it may already be due to your genes why your mane takes a long time to regrow. You have tried a lot of products and treatments, but the results were superficial. You want something that will last and produce a great effect, hence you are serious in finding out more about essential oils and hair growth.

First and foremost, do not confuse mineral oils and essential oils. There are a lot of hair care products that contain mineral oils, which are synthetic elements that act as preservatives. Mineral oils are derived from petroleum sources. These can clog the pores of your skin, making it hard for your skin to get rid of toxins. As a result, you will not see tremendous effects in terms of hair growth and the products may also have negative effects on your tresses and skin in the long run.

Switch to Essential Oils and Hair Growth Products

It is best that you try out the oils and hair growth products first before continuing with its use. This way, you can test if you are allergic to any of these natural oils and also to find out which one will work best for the type of tresses that you have.

To help you decide which products to use, here’s a list of the top essential oils that are beneficial for your mane.

1. Lavender Essential Oil. This is typically grown in places with temperate climates. The oil was used by ancient practitioners in treating and preventing baldness, as well as in growing the tresses. This is effective because of its antibacterial elements that can help in treating scalp problems. When it reaches the hair shaft, the oil works its wonders in getting rid of dandruff and in eliminating the dryness of the skin.

You can use the infused oil in massaging your head and scalp nightly. Its scent has a calming effect, which can help you sleep soundly. When you wake up in the morning, use an organic shampoo in washing your locks. Towel dry your hair before styling and avoid using a blow dryer or any products that utilize heat such as curlers and irons. Lavender oil can add volume to your hair with continued use.

If you have time, you can also make your own lavender water and use this in rinsing your tresses every day. To do this, you need to boil some sprigs of the plant in water, simmer for around 20 minutes and cool. The combination of the oil and water will make your hair shiny, your scalp healthy and your mane smelling really good.

2. Jojoba Essential Oil. Aside from its effectiveness in supporting hair growth, the reason why this can be found in many essential oils and hair growth products, this is also known for giving moisture to the tresses. Its molecular characteristics can be likened to the oil that the glands in the scalp naturally produce. Unlike many essential oils, which need to be diluted in carrier oils before using, jojoba oil can be directly applied to the hair and scalp. Actually, this is used as a carrier oil for many essential oils and hair growth products. This kind of oil is hypoallergenic, so it won’t harm your scalp, skin and mane.

3. Rosemary Essential Oil. This can be used to grow your tresses and to delay the process of developing gray hair. This helps the scalp by improving its blood circulation. You can mix a few drops of this oil with olive oil and use the result in massaging the scalp. The leaves of rosemary can be boiled, simmered and cooled to produce water that you can use in rinsing your locks. The practice can help in retaining the natural color of your tresses. This is popularly practiced by people with black hair.

Survival And Emergency Tips

There are few things to remember in times of emergency, and it is best if you are always prepared since you cannot tell when such emergency situation strikes you.

1. Always have a standby emergency kit. Make it available at all times with enough supplies and at least three to seven days of stocks for every member of the households. The emergency kit should at least include all the necessary items required for human survival such as can goods, water, flashlights, can opener, disposable eating utensils, battery operated radio, emergency instructional manual and a standby fully charged mobile phone with numbers of those individuals to contact in times of trouble. Include the special items indicated for your family members such as prescription medicine, feminine hygiene, diapers for small children and others. Have a standby amount of money inside your emergency kit also and be sure that you will not be using it.

2. Design a strategic plan for your premises. Orient your family members on the things to do and the things to prioritize during emergency situation. Specify the numbers of individuals your children should contact in times of emergency. Specify their numbers and places. At home, children should be instructed on how to contact this person during emergency situations. Plan another meeting location aside from your own home. This is to ensure that your plan will not be ruined because of miscommunication or failure to gather because of opposite directions. It is best if family should practice such task to prepare everyone during crisis situation.

3. The emergency kit should be prepared and stocked in a dry and cool place. Ensure that the foods are on their fresh manufacture date. If possible, avoid placing this kit in your garage due to shifts in temperature. The water should be replaced between three to six months and smoke detectors installed in your premise should be checked by a technician in a monthly basis. This is to ensure that your security alarm systems are updated in times of trouble.

4. Since today is a crisis day, it is best to ensure that your valuables are protected. List down all your expensive valuables including appliances, gadgets and jewelries. You can even take pictures for additional proof. Store any legal documents and documentation in a safe place where fire of flood cannot damage them. Such place includes your relative’s house, bank vault or time deposit box.

5. Have a tangible copy of important documents. This is most important to items like your personal identification cards such as social security card, driver’s license, tax identification card, land title, marriage contract, baptismal and birth certificates, diplomas and other legal documents which you find necessary. This is for fire protection. If something happens to your house, valuables or family members, you will not experience difficulties in the claims such as insurance and others.

6. Ensure that you and your place are ensured. There are a lot of insurances covering individuals to houses nationwide. Such insurances are available during disaster of natural calamity. Other companies offer insurance more than the worth of your properties so it is better to have one. Make sure that you are updated in terms of the payment scheme so that you can claim in times of trouble.

7. Lastly, never ever forget about your pets. They are part of your family also. Include them in the emergency precaution and action plan designed for your family. Some households give less priority to their pets than their property during crisis. Love your pets like you love your children and be kind to them.

Academic Writing Survival Guide

Intimidated by academic essay writing? If you’re new at this (and even if you’re not, quite possibly), intimidation is to be expected. There’s nothing easy or simple about the demands of writing a journal article, conference paper, dissertation, or a graduate class paper. Learning how to combine complex theory, insightful analysis, and relevant literature into a coherent package is an art form that takes years to master. And because there’s always something at stake– a grade in a graduate course, a graduate degree, rejection, tenure, or what have you– this difficult kind of writing comes with some seriously stressful baggage. So where do you begin? Here some academic writing survival tips to help you get started. 1) Write Coherently Because the norms of academic writing are so theoretical and challenging, writers sometimes forget the basics– your essay has to make sense! Forget about trying to sound academic, and concentrate on writing something that’s readable. Yes, this can be quite a chore when you’re writing about complex ideas, but it’s so important. Keep this simple tips in mind: Explain terms that may be unfamiliar to the reader– and assume that the reader is a novice at these ideas. You can’t avoid jargon when you write about academic topic, but you can explain jargon. Always write using a fairly detailed outline. Include a thesis statement that previews your essay. Err on the side of simple sentence structure and language. If you can say the same thing in fewer words, do it. 2) Use Your Own Voice Academic writing involves lots of quotes, and it’s very easy to overdo your use of quotes in a way that obscures your own voice. Always define concepts in your own words, and if possible, use original examples to explain these concepts. It’s so tempting just to throw in a quote from someone famous to explain a concept, but don’t–unless you’re using this to back up an explanation you’ve already made. Don’t be afraid to speak through your writing. 3) Use Examples One mistake novice academic writers make is to make claims about a text (a literary work, a television show, or whatever it is they’re analyzing) or situation without backing up their claim with evidence. If you’re making an argument about a text, you need textual evidence. For example, if you make a claim that a novel represents women in a particular way, you need to discuss several scenes in the novel that illustrate that claim. If you make a claim that “studies show that violent video games aren’t as harmful to kids as people think,” then you need to discuss a few of those studies. Even if your paper is primarily about theory, it’s important to back up claims you make about theory with specific theoretical passages. 4) Cite Smart Find a good balance with citations. Your bibliography and in-text citations do need to be comprehensive– at least to a reasonable degree. You have to do your homework so that you don’t leave out any key writings in the field. It’s also important to check recent books and journal articles to make sure you’re not missing something significant that just came out. On the other hand, you can overdo your citations. Don’t cite works that are only related tangentially to your research. One thing to avoid: the bottomless parenthetical reference. That goes something like this: Research shows that violent video games aren’t as dangerous as people think (Ackerman, 2000, 2001, 2002; Brown, 2007; Cohen, 2004, 2005, 2008; Donohue, 2003; Fohery, 2007, 2008; Garcia, 2003, 2005; Hill, 2001, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008; Jackson, 2001, 2003…) You get the idea. It’s better to just include a few key works in a parenthetical references– and then to spend some paragraphs explaining relevant works. 5) Know Your Style Guides There’s no way around this tedious task. You need to know APA, MLA, Chicago, or whatever it is your field uses. Buy a book and know your stuff. Unfortunately, undergraduate classes usually don’t prepare students well enough for the style guide knowledge they’ll need as a grad student, so it may be up to you to pick up that darned book and figure it out for yourself. 6) Keep At It Academic writing does get easier. Like everything else, you need to work on your writing often and learn as you go. There’s a logic behind academic writing that does start to make more sense after awhile, so don’t give up. Best of luck!

Survival Garden

Everyone has to buy food but you can benefit both monetarily and health wise from growing your own either in a garden or in containers indoors. For just a few dollars, you’ll be able to save hundreds or perhaps thousands. Don’t be dissuaded if you’ve never done it. Nature can take care of most of it for you. After all, things have been growing without our help for a long time. Some sites are daunting with all of the information out there but basically you need to dig a hole, plant a seed and water. (Seed packs display instructions also.)

You may have heard of heritage or heirloom seeds, which are simply seeds from plants that are passed down from back around 50 years ago or more when food didn’t taste like the container that they come in, not to mention the greater health benefits. They will not be genetically modified as some that you may buy in stores or online today. If you search online, you’ll locate many companies offering these types of seeds.

Note: It may be necessary to “hide” your plants to avoid thievery when it all hits the fan. Look for this to be a problem very soon. Try spreading your plots out in indiscrete areas around your house or even in public areas. Most people don’t know what a potato or carrot plant looks like and won’t mess with them.

Four seasons gardening is another option and will give you a year round food supply. You will probably need fluorescent or special grow lights for this but they will pay for themselves many times over. Just keep them on movable ropes or possibly a pulley system to keep them a few inches above the plants. A south facing window might just do the trick though as this will give them extended periods of sunshine.

You should try to water your plants at least every few days or more depending on the weather. One easy way to do this is to set up a sprinkler system or soaker hoses. Just buy some connectors where you can hook three or more hoses up as needed. If done right, all you’ll have to do is turn on the faucet in the morning for about 20 minutes and everything is done for you. If you want to get fancy, you can even buy a timer for a few bucks from the garden section and hook that up, which is easier than you might think. Of course, to save on the o’le water bill, you can use collected rain and what they call gray water from doing laundry, dishes or baths as long as it doesn’t contain bleach or other harsh chemicals. Dish soap, shampoo, conditioner, detergent and bar soap is okay.

Depending on the spare time available, you may want to maintain a compost pile of leftovers (no meats or dairy and some say to stay away from putting cooked food in to avoid vermin). Mix this with leaves, grass (unless it has been treated with weed killer, etc.), paper and cardboard strips (not glossy) and add water periodically to keep it moist. When it becomes the consistency of a crumbly soil, after about 3 months usually, it’s ready to mix in your soil or spread on top. Peat moss is also good for that and comes in big bags for a reasonable price from a lot of places. Other things such as sawdust, cow and horse manure (not from pets), and sand (if your soil is more clay like) may also be added.

The Wilderness Survival – Altoid Stove

There are a variety of different stoves you can employ when you are practicing wilderness survival from MSR stoves to the humble tea light stove. And the large range in cost means you can find just the right thing to fit your pocket book.

A stove really only needs to contain two items – a fuel, and a container in which the fuel burners. Added components can be used to increase efficiency.

The simplest stoves are the tea light, cat food, and Altoid stoves. This article will discuss the bare bones Altoid stove, however the technique can be applied to just about any metal container you have lying around for wilderness survival.

The first item discussed will be the fuel used in the stove. At present, my current preferred fuel is the automotive additive called HEAT. You can get this at any gas station for about 2 or 3 dollars. It will easily ignite but does not produce fumes that can flare up light gasoline (do not EVER use gasoline as a fuel in a stove).

The stove itself is an empty Altoid tin with the top of the container removed prior to use. You do not want to have your cooking container sitting directly on the stove, as this may put the flames out. So you will need to either find an item that will allow your billycan or canteen cup to sit above the flames or you can just dig a small trench in the ground. This will house your stove and you can use the earth as your pot stand.

Place the stove in the trench or under your pot stand and add your fuel. With my test I found that 3 oz of fuel provides about a 20-minute burn, which should be sufficient to boil your water and heat your food. You can then light the fuel with your preferred method (match, lighter, ferro rod) and you are good to go. Just place your billycan or canteen on the pot stand and heat your food.

I thought that 3 oz of fuel was a lot to use in this stove, and you may be able to make the stove more efficient by adding some fiberglass insulation inside the tin. This will hold the fuel and provide a more even burn – but I have not yet tested this.

The knowledge you should keep is that you can basically create a stove from any metal container you have handy, but you may have efficiency issues. If this is tolerable, you can have a small, portable, nearly indestructible stove when you are in the wild. This is just one wilderness survival skill.

Survival Blankets

Survival blankets are layered with Mylar and an inside material to provide superior warmth and trap body heat. A good array of survival blanket is used by wrapping the blanket lightly around your body. You do need a small space between your body and the blanket to lock in air, which then works to insulate your body.

Survival blankets are much different than those you will find in a customary bedroom.  These blankets are consisted from a thin sheet of silver or gold plastic material that can be used in an emergency situation to maintain body heat.

Your survival blankets work in several different ways to maintain body heat. Your body loses heat from radiation, which simply means that the surface of your skin radiates heat, through respiration when you breathe and through both convection and conduction. The wind chill factor shows the amount of heat that you can lose through convection as the wind works to cool your body when it perspires. A survival blanket actually works to keep moisture and radiant heat near your body by trapping a layer of air that insulates.

The survival blanket provides a layer of insulation that can keep in up to ninety percent of your body heat when used properly. You will want to be familiar with some basic instructions on the use of these blankets before using them yourself, particularly if you are in an emergency situation. In most cases, you will want a dry, warm area to use the blanket in and have some other warmth providing blankets to use, as well as the survival blanket.

When you need to prepare for an emergency there is nothing that is more vital than having supplies readily available to maintain your body heat. If you are living in a climate with snow in the winter, or even if you have snow all year round, then you will want to have several thermal blankets in each car you own as well as in your home. Owning a supply of these blankets in your first aid kit for emergency is just as important as having disinfectant and bandages on hand. Ensure you have enough for each person in your family to use.

When using survival blankets in the outdoors you also need to be prepared with other supplies to maintain body heat. Even in condition wherein temperatures are as high as fifty degrees Fahrenheit you can have hypothermia if exposed to high winds or if you happen to fall into cold water. These blankets are a must-have addition for every backpackers, hikers and campers who enjoy the outdoors in cooler temperatures.

STEP 8 – Back Braid Move Four

Find a place on the braid where the A cord runs through, poke a hemostat clamp through, grasp the loose end of the A cord, clamp the hemostat closed and pull through.

Repeat the back braiding process a few times more until the handle is securely attached to the leash.

STEP 9 – Finishing The Handle Loop

You now have the loose ends that must be finished. Cut the cords off, fairly close to the braid. The ends can now be melted with the wood burning tool that has been preheated. Run the hot wood burning tool in a sweeping motion over the cord ends until they are melted against the same coloured cord lying below it.

Paracord is an excellent material to make dog leashes from. It is light weight, durable and can be washed if it gets dirty. This tutorial will show you how to make a paracord dog leash using the four strand flat braid technique.

To continue braiding, repeat the above steps as illustrated above.

Agility Tabs are a “mini” leash that is used for training a dog for running an agility course. They are primarily used during the early stages of off lead work, when the handler needs a little handle to quickly grab their dog to get it back on course.

This tutorial will show you how to make an agility training tab using a four strand braid method and then finishing the tab with a terminal turk’s head knot.

Tools And Supplies

Tools that you will need are; scissors, a C-clamp, hemostat clamps, a wood burning tool, paracord and a small leash snap. If you don’t have a wood burning tool, a lighter to melt the cord ends will suffice.

Paracord will shrink when it gets wet, so it is VERY IMPORTANT that you preshrink the cord before you start to braid. If you don’t, the first time that you walk your dog in the rain, your leash will get all misshapen and lumpy. To preshrink the cord, soak it in hot water for about five minutes and then hang it to dry. You can toss it in a pillow case, knot it closed and dry it in the dryer as well, it’s your choice.

I am making an eight inch agility tab To determine how much paracord that you will need, break down the length of your project into inches and multiply by four. 8″ X 4 = 32″ so I will need 2 separate paracord strands that are EACH 32″ long

STEP 1 – Arranging The Cords

Pull all the cords tightly so that the knot appears even.

STEP 7 – Finishing The Turk’s Head Knot

All the cords are now poking through the top of the turk’s head knot. Trim the loose cords very close to the top of the knot. Gently melt the cord ends with the wood burning tool in a sweeping motion until they are flush with the top of the knot.

Your agility leash is now finished and ready to be used for your next training class!

Do You Have A Tornado Plan? Prepare For The Next Disaster

Being prepared now after already experiencing a tornado disaster will help to avoid confusion and panic should one ever strike again. Planning and practicing how and where you and your loved ones will take shelter is a true matter for survival. Be prepared to act quickly. And learn how to save as you rebuild your home after the destruction caused by the tornado.

The first step is to designate a place in your home where everyone should meet during a tornado. This area should be near the middle of the house on the lowest floor and without windows and glass doors. The safest place is underground, like a basement. If there is no basement available put as many walls as possible between you and your family and exterior walls such as hallways, closets, or central bathrooms. If you live in a mobile home, head to a safe area – tornado shelter or sturdy building. Never assume a mobile home will survive a tornado.

The second step is to know what a tornado warning device sounds like in your area. Some town areas use sirens. Other devices would be your local radio station, weather radio, television stations, and cable stations. Radio and television stations are part of the weather service’s warning system. A battery-operated radio should be your primary source in case of a power outage. Make sure your children know what the warnings sound like.

The third step is to designate two places for everyone to meet after the tornado has passed should you get separated during the disaster. One location should be close to your home but far enough away from any damages caused by the tornado. The other should be a distance away in case the first site is unavailable.

The fourth step is is to conduct a drill periodically to ensure that everyone knows what to do, where to go, and how to react as if a tornado were truly on its way. This should become a very routine action. Also discuss what to do if someone is away from the home at the time of the disaster such as school, work, store…anywhere but home.

The fifth step is to prepare an emergency supply kit. This should include emergency phone numbers, a three-day supply of food and water, first aid items, radio, flashlight, extra batteries…all in a waterproof container. There should be a gallon of water per person per day. It is a good idea to keep a smaller version of your kit in the trunk of your car should you have to vacate.

The sixth step is to continue monitoring the weather radio, television, or radio announcements. The stations will provide very useful information you will need regarding support efforts, rescue, and road conditions. Pay close attention to all the information announced. Do not attempt to return home until authorities give you the necessary approval.

After surviving a disaster such as a tornado there is sure to be damage to your home. Whether there is minimal or substantial damage depends on how much time it will take for you to return to your home. Repairs that must be made can cost an astronomical amount. There is a way to save on all your needs…from building materials and supplies to furniture, clothing, and much more. Turn your life around and the lives of your loved ones by saving, not only now, but for the rest of your life. Start saving TODAY!

Managing Your Career in Uncertain Times – Seven Survival Tips

1. Don’t Panic. It’s hard not to have scary and somber thoughts during an economic slowdown. Suddenly all your plans seem shaky and your paycheck uncertain. Fear is a natural emotion during these times, but giving into fear won’t help. Instead, remain focused and motivated. Tune out naysayers who only fuel your negative thoughts.

2. Do your job well. It’s important that you keep doing your work at the highest level of quality and engagement. Yes, I know it’s hard to do with nagging fears in the back of your mind. However, being keen on delivering your best is most important now. Managers and supervisors are often asked to take a closer look at who adds value through their performance and who has been just “along for the ride.” Your commitment to organization’s objectives and your willingness to do what has to be done with as much skill and enthusiasm as you can muster, will make you appear more valuable than those who slow down and mope.

3. Don’t gossip. Have you  noticed clusters of your colleagues standing around with coffee, wringing their hands and bad mouthing the company, its leadership and the decisions they make? Refrain being attached to this group. Loose lips sink ships, and they also torpedo your career opportunities. Be watchful of your discussions at work. Walk away from “doom and gloom” conversations. Rather look for ways to contribute your ideas, thoughts, and actions to activities that focus on strengths of the organization and its deliverables. Don’t give them a reason to target you.

4. Be visible. Now is the time to be visible in a positive manner both internally and externally. Volunteer for a task force or committee that is looking at ways to streamline operations or to engage customers in a new way. Make sure your bosses see you doing your best to contribute to the on-going success of the company. If you have always been someone who barely makes in on time and leaves as soon as possible, change your pattern. Roll up your sleeves, tackle tough problems and stay late if that’s what it takes.
5. Take stock. It’s time for you to re-evaluate your skills, talents and abilities, and where they fit in the labor market. Review your work over the last year. Can you identify your accomplishments and how your contributions made a difference to your department? Make sure that you can quantify your achievements in terms of efficiency, accuracy, increased revenue, cost savings or better customer relations. Focus on actions, not responsibilities. This is the first step to a new resume, should you need it. Take time now to identify the industries or market segments which might need you or where you might be able to add value. Do it now.

6. Re-engage your contact network. Acting like an ostrich with your head in the sand is not in your best interest. If you have neglected your professional and personal contacts, now is the time to re-engage them. Renew your involvement in professional or technical forums, clubs, or blogs. Share ideas and articles that may enhance their jobs and interests. Be able to identify your key accomplishments, skills and abilities and your areas of expertise. Ask them how you might be off assistance to them . You might need their assistance in gaining information, leads and contacts if your situation changes. People are willing to help those who have helped them;  it is human nature.

7. Be prepared. Many people don’t keep their resumes up-to-date. They figure I have a great job and I am not planning to leave it anytime soon. That may sound reasonable; however, in an unpredictable and volatile time it leaves you unprepared. Creating a new resume BEFORE you need it, helps you to think more clearly, sharpens your focus on key strengths. It minimizes  the fear and pain should you , despite your best efforts, find yourself looking for new employment. While no one has a crystal ball that can predict just what will happen in the times ahead, these seven tips can be the deciding factors in assisting you to successfully navigate these uncertain times.

To manage well a business, there is the fundamental requirement of implementing measures for development to guarantee continuous improvement.

Measures must be prepared and implemented to find consistency in results. If desired results are not achieved, then the business should discover why such thing occurred, which may be caused by a number of factors, including people, input, or processess. Doing this will help avert further damage or trouble by applying corrective measures.

For each new goal, there is a corresponding set of measures that need to be developed and implemented. If such measures are effective, then it means improvement in productivity, and ultimately, the realization of a goal. Measures have to be supportive of the organization’s objectives to be worth the trouble of formulating them.

There are several ways to measure effectiveness. One example would be the retention level in any or all of the new jobs in the company. The longer the stay of new employees after training, the more effective the training program is. If you notice very fast turnover, this is already a warning signal for management that something is wrong, which requires attention and further study.

Another measure is increasing target sales. If new employees have been trained in sales, definitely there is an expected increase in sales as a result of training. However, if there is no eventual increase in sales results, perhaps training has not been successful. But whatever the measures, we have to remember that these have to be balanced with several other factors that exist within the organization, which may have direct effectd on desired results.

Measures implemented are expected to yield corresponding results, of which the ultimate goal is better efficiency, and better business.

If the objective is to make a turnaround in the business, then there are several things that have to be undertaken. These matters could either be undertaken by the executives themselves, or it may also be possible to hire professionals.

The more common measures would include an assessment of the current situation of the company in all aspects to know where exactly the company stands and to have a clearer understanding of where matters are and what needs to be done. If an aspect needs to be improved by means of assessment, then the next logical step would be to develop plans and definite strategies.

Of course, critical decisions have to be made known to key personnel to solicit support and to act as critics of the measures to be conducted.

One way to dispel rumours and low morale is to clarify things with employees. Taking time to listen to what employees have to say may just be fruitful. It is also necessary to meet with other players, such as financial institutions, suppliers, and customers. All these key players need to have an idea of what developments are happening or are going to happen in the company.

It is necessary to conduct an extensive review of present porcessess and systems to find out what measures need to be developed and implemented. If old practices caused problems, then they have to be stopped and replaced. Again, this has to be communicated with everyone in the company for them to understand what exactly is being done and why things are happening.

Throughout the process, results should be constantly evaluated against the plan drawn out in the beginning. This is where key performance indicators (KPIs) play a part to determine whether performance is improving. This is why measures for development are necessary in business.

More Information On Disaster Management

Disaster management helps disaster preparation and dealing with a tough time. Being prepared will help you respond quickly as well. Some disasters could include:

1. War
2. Global warming and related items
3. Volcano eruption
4. Tornado or other big storm
5. Earthquakes

If you are not prepared you will find it difficult to deal with the many challenges following a disaster. You might be dealing with injuries, property damage, hunger, thirsty, no electricity and no phones. All of these can cause trouble. One example of a problem is not having a way to communicate. That means if there is an injury or perhaps a gas leak there is no way of contacting help.

Disaster management helps put together a plan. It helps you know what resources you need and need to gather. Now, there is personal family disaster management, but there is more extended disaster management that is needed as well. It includes having supplies that will needed for distributed to the community, how these items will be distributed. It is also important to have a backup plan; such as if a distribution station has been harmed there should be an alternative. It is all overwhelming that’s why it is important to prepare ahead of time. There are also the warnings that need to be presented to help people prepare to be as safe as possible during a disaster.

Every area from towns and neighborhoods to other countries has their own disaster management plan that needs to be created. There is no way to know how bad the disaster will be so preparation is vital for survival.

It is possible that the plan when implemented won’t work as planned. That’s because no one knows every aspect of what will happen. There is nothing wrong with going with the flow and that is easier when a disaster management plan is in place. It can also lead to making changes if a disaster happens again someday. You will know what works and you will know what doesn’t work. The plan can be changed to accommodate issues that didn’t work the first time. Of course, everyone hopes they never need to use the plan, but it is there if needed.
